A patio is a great way to enhance the looks of your home and its outdoor space. Before you kick start your dream patio project, it helps to have a clear idea what your dream deck should look like. You can start by making a list of all the things you plan to do on your patio. Make a list of all activities that you have in mind entertaining friends, barbeques, housing your rare plant collection, relaxing in the evening by yourself put it all down on paper. Next hunt around for some fresh deck ideas. The Internet has great resources and plenty of deck design and patio design ideas.
Deciding where you will locate your patio is very important. The amount of space you can spare and its exact location is some thing that you have to zero in on early in the project. This will save you a lot of trouble later on. Make sure that the area you choose is well drained, level and that it slopes away from the house. Ensure that it is well lit by sunlight and has its share of shade and wind. Take noise levels into consideration and think of specifics like hammocks and furniture when you make the decision. Hammocks need anchoring points and these need to be at least 5 6 feet from the ground. The points should be sturdy enough to support weight and have enough room to swing. You need to remember all along that the space you are building should enhance the conveniences of your home besides looking great.
Would like a quote for a Trex deck.

We currently have a concrete patio off our house that had settled and is sloping towards our houses foundation (when it rains water pools at the foundation). We would like to have it torn out and a new wood patio put in. Right now we walk down 2 steps to get to our patio and with the new wood one we would like it to be level with the house.
